Phone: 1-855-235-2867BAMP Project, Hawaii's premier concert production company presents the Hawaii debut concert of British rock group Bloc Party live in Honolulu for one-night-only on Monday, July 30, 2012 at The Republik, Hawaii's newest concert venue.On hiatus since 2009, Bloc Party recently announced their signing to North American record label Frenchkiss.  The announcement came at the same time as the band revealed that they were working on their follow up album to their 2008 albumIntimacy. The group formed in 1999 but didn't hit it big until their debut album Silent Alarm launched in 2005.  The album went on to sell more than a million records worldwide quickly taking it to top three on British charts, receiving critical acclaim.  Success continued with the 2007 release of A Weekend In The City which shot up to #2 on British charts and more with electronic third album Intimacy in 2008. The British rockers will make their live comeback at a music festival in Sweden this summer.  The group's future was thrown into doubt amid rumours frontman Kele Okereke had quit to concentrate on his solo career.  However, the singer silenced the speculation this past January by announcing he is back with the band working on a new album, and now the stars have revealed they will return to the stage this summer to play at the Peace & Love Festival in Sweden.  They will also perform at Germany's Melt Festival in July before making their Hawaii debut performance.   This will mark the first concert at The Republik, Hawaii's newest concert venue, which is slated to open in July 2012.  Exact opening details will be announced at a later time.  Website: http://blocparty.com/http://www.facebook.com/blocpartyofficial
