DESCRIPTION:The Insomniac Artists Club is a weekly salon and associated creative collaborative. Everyone is welcome to attend. There is a suggested $5 cover to help keep the event alive. A \'salon\' is a gathering of intellectuals (whatever that means!) to discuss ideas and celebrate the practice of conversation. There is a long\, rich history behind salons\, dating back to the Greek symposiums of Plato\'s time if not further. Every week the group starts with a warm-up activity\, designed to create and share on a collaborative level. These warm-ups include: \'Page parties\' where each attendee makes a page for a zine that will later be distributed to the public Poetry slams Show & Tell.
