Grouplove

BAMP Project is proud to present Grouplove, one of the most talked about bands of the year, in their Hawaii debut for one-night-only on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 live at The Republik.

The LA indie rock band released their debut album Never Trust a Happy Song in September 2011.  The 12 song collection was produced by the band's own Ryan Rabin and features the hit songs, "Tongue Tied" and "Colours."   "Colours" went to #1 on SiriusXM's Alt Nation, the satellite radio network's premiere alternative channel, and the band scored a pair of national television appearances, performing the song on NBC's "Last Call With Carson Daly" and Fuel TV's "The Daily Habit."

"Tongue Tied" appeared in a wildly popular Apple iPod Touch commercial and began its ascent up the Alternative Radio chart.  The group performed the song with a raucous performance on ABC's Jimmey Kimmel Live in January marking the songs national television debut.  In February, Grouplove was named MTV's PUSH (Play Until Someone Hears) Artist of the Week, garnering near constant exposure on the channel while the companion music video for "Tongue Tied" is in rotation at both MTV2 and mtvU.

Currently touring nationwide, Grouplove made high profile appearances at this year's Coachella Music and Arts Festival in Indio, CA, at the Sasquatch Music Festival in George, WA and the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, TN.  The Los Angeles-based quintet's dizzying 2012 tour schedule began in January with a run of dates in Australia and New Zealand, and continued with a European tour for most of February.  The group also made a slate of standout performances at this year's SXSW and co-headlined a sold-out cross country U.S. tour with Foster The People.
