TEDxHonolulu announces official line up of 28 speakers and performers for November 1 event

TEDxHonolulu, to be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2011, will take place at Cupola Theatre at Honolulu Design Center, 9AM – 6PM.

This all-day, independently organized event, licensed by TED, will feature 28 ofHawaii's most fascinating thinkers and doers and will be streamed live over the Internet.

Confirmed presenters and performers include: Dr. Michael Liu - Astronomer; Dr. Ho Leung Ng - Biochemist; Dr. Robert Hong - Cardiologist; Dr. Richard Pyle – Ichthyologist; Dr. Lani Leary - Psychologist; Dr. Pua Kanahele – Hawaiian Cultural Expert; Jake Shimabukuro - Ukulele Virtuoso; Edgy Lee - Filmmaker; Michael Wall - Interactive Artist; The iPad Band - Digital Musicians; Jason Tom - Human Beatboxer; Kealoha - Slam Poet; Jason Mateo - Fatherless Father Advocate; Mark Mauricio - Magician; Sean Briel & Daniel Nash – Passionate Math Teachers; Amy Burvall & Herb Mahelona – Crazy History Teachers; Robbie Alms - Collaborative Leadership Network; Brian Goldstein - Director, Better Place Hawaii; Elyse Petersen - Solar Sustainability Advocate; Vivian Best - Fresh Food For the Homeless Advocate; Jon Fritzler - Aloha Movement Project; Sig & Kuhao Zane - Clothing Designers; Matthew Lynch - Regenerative Enterpriser; Susan Cox - Green Power Girl.

TEDxHonolulu's theme is "It's About Time…" Speakers and performers have been asked to incorporate the show theme into their presentations.
