Learn more about local Japanese New Year's traditions at our informative New Year's Oshogatsu Workshops.
The Cultural Center is teaming up with TEMARI Center for Asian & Pacific Arts for a workshop on kadomatsu (bamboo and pine display) on Sunday, Dec. 27. Kadomatsu is commonly seen at the doorway of Japanese and Japanese American homes during the New Year season. At this hands-on kadomatsu workshop, students will get the opportunity to make their very own kadomatsu.
